Advances in the Management of Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC), Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC) and Cholangiocarcinoma: A Global Perspective

Description

Five 15-minute talks on the identified unmet needs in the management of PBC and PSC will be presented to attendees, followed by a multidisciplinary 15-minute Q&A discussion. Each speaker will review the current data on the topic and conclude with either a take-home point or recommendations for future research. In addition, patients' perspective on the unmet needs in PSC will be heard, and all stakeholders will be called upon to promote health equity in PSC.

Objectives

  • Understand the epidemiology of PBC globally, risk groups and evolving consideration of first and second line agents available to treat PBC
  • Learn the current candidate markers of clinical outcome measures in PSC and how these markers can be used in the design of PSC Clinical trials
  • Discuss the advanced and challenges of managing cholestatic itch, and management approach in patients with PSC, PBC and progression familiar intrahepatic cholestasis (PFIC)
