Description

The Korean Association for the Study of the Liver (KASL) has made notable strides in both basic and clinical research concerning various liver diseases. In a fruitful partnership, AASLD has collaborated with KASL to exchange cutting-edge insights on liver disease care, identify optimal treatment approaches, and enhance their partnership through ongoing Community Conversations. This session will explore the latest advancements in the management of liver cirrhosis, viral hepatitis, and steatotic liver diseases, providing a comprehensive overview of current best practices in liver care.

  • To learn about advances in the management of hepatic encephalopathy and portal hypertension in cases of acute-on-chronic liver failure.
  • To provide updates on biomarkers and preventive measures for diseases related to chronic hepatitis B.
  • To gain knowledge about the new nomenclature for fatty liver disease and the characteristic features of steatotic liver disease in Asia.
